Iggy Azalea debunks sex change rumours

By Fabio Crispim

Iggy Azalea has opened up about rumours she’s heard about herself, and they don’t disappoint!

Speaking to Andy Cohen on ‘Watch What Happens Live’, the Fancy singer revealed that people believed she used to be a boy named Corey.

“The craziest rumour that I’ve ever heard, that really went around, was that I had a sex change when I turned 18 and that I was born with a penis and my name was Corey,” she said.

“Why would my name be Corey? It would be Liam, that’s my boy name. My mum always said if I was a boy I’d be named Liam.”

Azalea also admitted to getting plastic surgery and says that stars need to be honest about getting work done “If you’re going to do something that obvious” because “everyone’s seen what your nose looks like before.”

She also revealed what happened when Britney Spears came over to her house for a lunch meeting when the two collaborated for Pretty Girls. Britney’s people had to come into Azalea’s house first to look around.

“They came in and checked my place to make sure I wasn’t trying to stash anything weird and, like, give it to her, or something.”

She says that Britney’s people had to “make sure I wasn’t a bad influence. And I’m not. I passed the test!”

The singers’ new album, Digital Distortion, is set for release later this year.
