smash anthem Let It Go may have been everywhere during 2014, but its seems that there’s one person who hasn’t been buying into the hype.

In the new issue of Attitude, Idina Menzel – who voices Snow Queen Elsa in the film – reveals that her five-year-old son doesn’t want to hear her sing Let It Go, and that he gets confused when his school friends say that their mothers also sing it.

Asked whether the modern Disney classic is played regularly in her house, the 43-year-old replies: “No, my son does not want to hear his mother sing! And it’s very confusing for him when he hears that song because he says “My mommy sings that,” and everyone else say “My mommy sings that too!”

“He’s like “I don’t understand what you are talking about!” So it’s a complicated issue for a five-year-old!”

Adding that she feels “totally lucky and grateful” to have put her voice to the song, Idina says that she thinks the internet has played an important role in the song’s phenomenal success.

“I think [it’s] mostly because of social media, I think there’s this wonderful pride that everyone takes that they can post their own version of the song, and so there’s a celebration of everyone’s arrangement. That’s something we haven’t had before.”
