Hollyoaks star Jimmy Essex has got engaged to his boyfriend.
Best known for playing Adam Donovan in the Channel 4 soap, the actor took to Instagram to reveal that his long-term partner Charles had got down on one knee to pop the question while they were on holiday in Sri Lanka.
Posting a photo of the diamond ring and kissing his partner, Essex simply wrote: “So … this happened.”
