Actress Naya Rivera has denied she has been “fired” from Glee.

Earlier this week the New York Daily News reported that Rivera – who plays feisty lesbian Santana on the hit US show – had been cut from the cast by its network, Fox.

In the report, it was alleged that Rivers had been involved in a long-running feud with fellow cast member Lea Michele, who plays Rachel, and was jealous of the attention she receives.

However, a spokesperson for Rivera has insisted that this story is totally false, telling The Hollywood Reporter: “Any reports or rumours (sic) circulating that Naya Rivera was let go or fired from Glee are absolutely untrue. End of story.”

Meanwhile, Fox have refused to comment on Rivera’s future on Glee, whose next season will be its last.

Naya Rivera has appeared on Glee since it premiered in 2009 – and has featured heavily since season two, when she became a regular character.
