Fans of True Blood are in for a treat after show creator Alan Ball revealed the franchise will be turned into a stage show… and not just any stage show. A gay show!

The hit series saw multiple same-sex romances throughout its seven-season run and who could forget the insanely hot scene between Ryan Kwanten and Alexander Skarsgård.

Rumours of a stage show have been around since the show ended but now Ball has confirmed a musical version of the TV series will be created by composer Nathan Barr.

Speaking to Deadline, Ball said: “It tells the story of vampires coming out of the closet.

“Ultimately it really departs from the book, because people aren’t ready, and they’re too bigoted and they end up going back in to the closet.”

The stage show is currently being workshopped but we can all agree that we will be waiting for tickets to go on sale.
