Gay dating show ‘Finding Prince Charming’ will be “more realistic” than the Bachelor, says host Lance Bass

Logo TV’s upcoming reality show, Finding Prince Charming, will have its sights set on “more realistic” aims for the competitors, host Lance Bass has revealed.

Kicking off on September 8, Finding Prince Charming pits 13 men against one another in a bid to win the affections of designer and philanthropist Robert Sepúlveda.

But unlike the show’s inspiration, The Bachelor, Finding Prince Charming will not include a proposal at the end of the series.

“We’re a little more realistic about what the expectations of the outcome is,” Bass said to Entertainment Weekly. “You won’t see Prince Charming getting on his knee and proposing at the end of this show. I think it’s just a little more real that you find someone you want to exclusively date and see where it goes.”

It’s probably quite a relief to the contestants and Mr Charming himself, Robert Sepúlveda. But you’ve got to admit, a proposal makes great TV. Especially when the answer’s not yes!

Finding Prince Charming starts on September 8 on Logo TV.
