‘Frozen’ becomes fifth highest-grossing film of all time

Disney’s animated musical has now grossed over $1.2 billion (£712 million) at the global box office, overtaking Iron Man 3 to take a place in the top five box office hits ever.
Now, the only films to have grossed more than Frozen in cinemas are: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 ($1.3 billion / £770 million), The Avengers ($1.5 billion / £890 million), Titanic ($2.2 billion / £1.3 billion) and Avatar ($2.8 billion / £1.7 billion).
Despite the ongoing success of Frozen, Disney said in April that it has yet to discuss a sequel – and is currently focusing on the Broadway adaptation of the smash hit film instead.
