Former Eastenders star Jonny Labey nails Cheryl routine on ‘Dance Dance Dance’

By Will Stroude

UK TV screens have been a dimmer place since Jonny Labey’s departure from Eastenders last summer following his character Paul Coker’s shock death at the hands of homophobic thugs.

Thankfully, however, the 24-year-old actor has been back to remind us of his immeasurable talent on ITV’s new celebrity talent show Dance Dance Dance, putting on a show-stopping display during Sunday’s night’s episode (January 15).

Dancing with girlfriend Chrissy Brooke, Jonny tackled the iconic ballroom routine from the video to Cheryl Cole’s 2010 hit ‘Parachute’ and put on a flawless display which received a standing ovation from the studio audience and an impressive 28 out of 30 points from the judges – the highest score awarded to any celebrity so far.

Check out the routine below – and if you feel like awarding your own marks, you can compare it to Cheryl’s own version…

Dance Dance Dance

continues next Sunday at 6.30pm on ITV.
