Fifth Harmony announce they’re splitting up
The girl group have called it a day after six years together.

Fifth Harmony have announced that they are splitting up.
In a statement posted on Twitter, the US girl group – which were formed by Simon Cowell on the second series of The X Factor USA in 2012 – confirmed they were going on “hiatus” after six years together.
“Reflecting on the past six years since we started on X Factor, we’ve realised just how far we’ve come and we appreciate everything so much, more now than ever,” the statement read.
“We’ve had one hell of a memorable journey together and can’t begin to express our gratitude to y’all for coming along with us on this wild journey.

“After six years going hard, non stop, we realise that in order to stay authentic to ourselves and you, we need to take some time for now to go on a hiatus from Fifth Harmony in order to pursue sole endeavours.”
The message, which was signed by members Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui confirmed that the girls would still perform several shows a group towards the end of 2018 before splitting for good.
After finishing in third place on The X Factor, Fifth Harmony released two albums as a fivesome as well as hit single ‘Work From Home’, which hit Number Two on the Official UK Singles Chart and went on to become the biggest-selling track by a girl group this century.
The band contniued on as a foursome after original member Camila Cabello quit the group in December 2016, before releasing their self-titled third studio album last year.
