Fan favourite back for ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’

Naomi Grossman will appear in American Horror Story: Freak Show, it has been announced.
The actress will reprise her role as Pepper from season two of the horror anthology series, in a storyline that will centre on “what happened to Pepper in the 12 years before she went to the asylum”, co-creator Ryan Murphy has explained.
“We thought about it long and hard and we decided that it was interesting to do,” Murphy told Entertainment Weekly.

Meanwhile, Ryan Murphy also revealed further details about Jessica Lange’s character in the new season, freak show boss Elsa Mars.
“What Elsa has done for 20 years is she goes around to hospitals and jails and rescues these ‘freak’ circus performers who are going to be shipped away to asylums and she signs the waivers and she becomes their guardians,” he explained.

American Horror Story: Freak Show will premiere on the FX network in the US on October 8. In the UK, it will begin later in October on Fox at a date to be confirmed.
