Fresh from the final of the first-ever All-Winners season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, Shea Couleé has now landed a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The season nine finalist and winner of All Stars 5 will be joining Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ project, Ironheart, in a so far undisclosed role, sources have told Deadline

The industry bible says Marvel has so far declined to comment on the reports.

Posting about the reports on Instagram on Thursday (4 August) Shea said: “I’m trying to find the words to express the deep excitement I feel over this project. Acting was my first love long before Drag.

“So it only seems fitting to end my Drag Race journey and begin my acting career in the biggest way I could imagine.”

Likening stepping into the MCU as like stepping into Oz Shea teases “Ironheart is top to bottom going to be an absolutely STUNNING experience for the viewers, and I’m so humbled everyday that I get to work on set with some of the best and most dedicated artists in the industry.”

She adds, “Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout my journey, and I look forward to sharing the exciting new chapter with you all.”

Ironheart focuses on the genius teen Riri Williams, played by Dominique Thorne, who creates an Iron Man-like suit of armor.

Thorne’s character was glimpsed briefly in the recent first (and emotional) trailer for the sequel to 2018’s Black Panther, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

In the trailer, Riri greets Letitia Wright’s Shuri in her workroom and can also be seen hammering a heart shape out of some (we presume) iron, possibly creating her first suit…

Meanwhile, Shea is keeping herself busy appearing in fashion shoots and launching her own podcast, Wanna Be on Top? which explores the world of America’s Next Top Model

Her name is Shea Couleé, and she didn’t come to play, she came to slay!

The Attitude September/October issue is available to download and order in print now and will be on newsstands from Thursday 4 August.
