Dolly Parton has recreated her iconic 1978 Playboy cover for her husband Carl Thomas Dean – and it’s as if not a day has passed.

The 75-year-old revealed the look in an Instagram video, saying in a caption: “It’s always #HotGirlSummer for my husband, Carl. Happy birthday my love!”

‘I Will Always Love You’ singer Dolly, who married Carl in 1966, revealed she took part in an entire photoshoot inspired by the original feature.

“He still thinks I’m a hot chick after 57 years”

Speaking in her Insta video, Dolly said: “Sometime back I said I was going to pose [on the cover of] Playboy magazine when I was 75. Well, I’m 75 and they don’t have a magazine anymore.

“But my husband and I always loved the original cover, so I was trying to think of something to do to make him happy.

“He still thinks I’m a hot chick after 57 years. I’m not gonna try and talk him out of that! What do you think?!”

We think what he thinks, Dolls.

The US version of Playboy ceased its print edition and went online-only in spring last year after COVID-19 interfered with the distribution of the magazine. Its first issue was in December 1953 and featured Marilyn Monroe on the cover. Subsequent cover stars included Pamela Anderson, Naomi Campbell and Lindsay Lohan.

Earlier this year, the ‘9 to 5’ singer received the Moderna coronavirus vaccine that her $1million donation helped fund.
