The possibility of a sequel to Frozen hasn’t even been discussed yet, according to Disney.

During the Bloomberg Business of Entertainment Breakfast in New York on Tuesday (April 22), Disney Chairman Alan Horn said the Mouse House is instead focusing on the upcoming stage version of the animated smash, THR reports.

Back in February, Disney’s CEO hinted that a sequel to the Oscar-winning hit could be on its way, saying: “This has real franchise potential.”

Meanwhile, Frozen’s soundtrack has notched up a eleventh week at the top of the US Billboard 200 albums chart – the most ever for a soundtrack album. The record was previously held by The Lion King soundtrack, which stayed at the top for ten weeks in 1994.

Last month (March) Frozen became the highest-grossing animated movie of all time, taking over from Toy Story 3, which was released in 2010.
