David Walliams wants Anton Du Beke as his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ partner if he ever joins the show

David Walliams wants to be partnered with Anton Du Beke if he ever does Strictly Come Dancing.
The BBC ballroom and latin dance competition has stuck to the traditional male/female dance partners since the show first aired in 2004 despite demand from fans and contestants on the show to include same-sex couples.
This year, the professional dancers performed a same-sex dance routine for one of the opening shows, which prompted many to believe that the BBC with drop its archaic stance and finally include same-sex couples next season.
And the Britain’s Got Talent judge wants to be part of that and already has his sights on long-time dancer Anton Du Beke.
While appearing on the Jonathan Ross Show, Walliams said: “My mum would like me to do Strictly. I don’t think I ever have been asked to do it.
“I would like to do it because there are two reasons. One is, you get to lose weight, it’s a brilliant way to lose weight.
“And the second thing is you often get close with the professional dancer, so I want Anton Du Beke.”
