Conchita Wurst Portrait SessionConchita Wurst and Neon Jungle have been announced as the final acts to join Manchester Pride’s Big Weekend lineup.

Eurovision winner Wurst will headline the event – which is due to take place on summer  bank holiday weekend (August 22-25) – alongside recently reformed girlband All Saints and pop diva Anastacia, whose appearances have already confirmed.

Hot new girlband Neon Jungle, who have scored two UK top ten hits this year with dance-pop singles Braveheart and Welcome to the Jungle, will also perform on the main stage over the course of the weekend.

Also on the lineup are rising pop star Foxes, former X Factor contestant Misha B, ex-Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt and Grammy-nominated singer and producer MNEK.

Mark Fletcher, Chief Executive for Manchester Pride, said: “We’re delighted to announce some great new artists, joining the already confirmed stellar line up for the 2014 Big Weekend. We’re especially excited Conchita Wurst will be joining us following her stand out performance at Eurovision.”

Neon Jungle premiered a snippet from their forthcoming debut album on attitude.co.uk last week (July 18). You can listen to the exclusive clip of new song Fool Me – which we called a “dancefloor moment waiting to happen” – here.

Meanwhile, Conchita Wurst headlined the main stage at Pride in London last month (June), where she was introduced by Sir Ian McKellen. She recently spoke to attitude.co.uk and discussed what it was like to grow up gay in small-town Austria – click here to read the full interview.

Tickets for Manchester Pride’s Big Weekend are available now on 0843 208 1844. Weekend tickets are priced at £22, while day tickets are also on sale starting at £12.50.

The free parade is due to set off at 1pm on Saturday August 23 and will run from Liverpool Road to the end of Whitworth Street – right by Manchester’s gay village.
