Conchita Wurst is heading for UK top ten on Sunday

Austria’s Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst is heading for the top ten on the UK’s Official Singles Chart this Sunday (May 18).
The bearded drag queen’s winning song, Rise Like a Phoenix, is at number nine in the midweek update released by the Official Chart Company today (May 14).
It’s one of three Eurovision songs in the top ten in the midweeks.
The UK’s Eurovision song, Children of the Universe by up-and-coming singer-songwriter Molly, is right behind Wurst’s Rise Like a Phoenix at number ten.
However, both trail Netherlands’ entry, Calm After the Storm by country-pop duo The Common Linnets, which sits at number five. Netherlands’ song finished second in the annual Song Contest on Saturday, trailing Wurst by 52 points.
Meanwhile, Rita Ora is on course to score her fourth Number One this Sunday with new single I Will Never Let You Down. If she holds onto the top spot, she tie a chart record held by Spice Girls legend Geri Halliwell. Find out more here.
