Cher takes centre stage in a brand new trailer for Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.

A trailer for the upcoming 2018 film aired during the Grammy Awards 2018 on Sunday (January 28) which featured new footage.

Previous trailers teased the appearance of Cher as Donna’s (Meryl Streep) mother and Sophie’s (Amanda Seyfried) grandmother, but this new trailer sees the musician briefly sing ‘Fernando’ as she descends down a staircase.

The sequel to 2008’s feel-good ABBA-inspired musical is set to reuinte the original cast and introduce some brand new faces as it explores the ’70s back story of Meryl Streep’s character Donna.

However, the legendary actress hasn’t starred in any new scenes in the teaser and has mysteriously been absent in previous trailers, leading fans to speculate that she may have been killed off.

The film will also star Pierce Brosnan, Stellan Skarsgard and Colin Firth as Sophie’s three possible fathers, along with Julie Walters, Christine Baranski and Dominic Cooper.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is set to hit UK cinemas on July 20, 2018. Watch the brand new trailer below:
