Charlie Carver on ‘Michael’ threesome: ‘It was hot as hell’

By Josh Haggis

Charlie Carver has teased details of the threesome scene in forthcoming gay-themed drama Michael.

The former Desperate Housewives actor stars alongside James Franco and Zachary Quinto in the upcoming biopic about the life of former gay activist Michael Glatze, who now lives an anti-gay pastor and is married to a woman.

In a new interview, Carver has revealed that the scene was “hot as hell,” although perhaps not in the way that we all may have hoped.

“It was hot as hell,” the actor told Huff Post Live. “We were in an attic in Long Island in the middle of summer and the air conditioning was broken. I think a scene like that, you have to have a sense of humour and you just go for it. I think there are plenty of things that are more awkward to shoot than a sex scene…”

He went on to add: “The threeway scene, going into shooting that, it’s about a friendship and a relationship between three people. It wasn’t meant to be salacious.”

Meanwhile, the first picture of the threesome scene was unveiled earlier this week – check it out here.
