Chad Michael Murray to guest star in Scream Queens

By Will Stroude

The opening episodes of Ryan Murphy’s new comedy-horror series Scream Queens have already given us several gifts in the form of Nick Jonas playing gay and, erm, Nick Jonas working out shirtless, but viewers are set for another treat with the news that former One Tree Hill hunk Chad Michael Murray has also joined the cast’s ever-growing ranks.

Murray is reportedly set to star as Brad Radwell, the older brother of Chad (Glen Powell), aka the college’s resident douchebag jock and and occasional boyfriend of Chanel No. 1 (Emma Roberts), while Patrick Schwarzenegger has been cast as Chad’s younger brother Thadeus.

Alan Thicke and Julia Duffy have also been cast as the mother and father of the Radwell brothers, so while more details about Murray’s guest role are being kept under wraps for now, you can bet the family will be playing a big role to come as the residents of Wallace University try and unmask the killer who’s currently stalking campus.

Murray’s guest role will also see him reunited with Freaky Friday co-star Jamie Lee Curtis – and given what we’ve seen from the 56-year-old so far as the college’s man-eating Dean Munch, we’d say the chances of them recreating their onscreen chemistry from that 2003 classic are high…

Scream Queens airs in the US Tuesdays at 8pm ET on Fox, and will debut in the UK on E4 this autumn.
