The actor, Lee Pace has opened up about his marriage to the Thom Browne executive, Matthew Foley in a new interview.

Pace, who came out as a “member of the queer community” in 2018 was thought to have tied the knot when he appeared at the Met Gala earlier this year but confirmed it while speaking to GQ recently.

He told the publication how he met his partner, Matthew, through a mutual friend.

“I said to my friend, Nick, ‘You know a lot of people, who do you have for me?’ And it luckily has worked out,” the Guardians of the Galaxy actor says.

On being married Lee says, “it was once described to me as an endless sleepover with your weirdest friend. In our experience, that is absolutely true,” adding, “If you’ve found one person you can be weird around, hold on tight.”

He also shares that he’d “love to have kids,” one day. “I think there’s nothing better than little kids running around,” says Lee.

Elsewhere in the interview the actor also addresses his playing the trans person, Calpernia Addams. Asked if he’d like to comment on the ongoing, and often fierce debate about who should play queer roles Lee declines with “No, I do not, thank you.”

He then says producers “might” have cast someone else if the film, Soldier’s Girl, was being made now but says the film did use trans actors

“Some of the actresses that I worked with were trans. And Calpernia was there the whole time helping me with her story and her truth. She was extremely collaborative with us, the entire shoot. They probably would. I don’t know.”

The Attitude September/October issue is out now.
