winners Collabro have signed to Simon Cowell’s record label, Syco.

The five-piece “musical theatre boyband”, who won £250,000 and a performance slot at this year’s Royal Variety Show, start work in the recording studio today (June 13) – and their debut album is set to be released in just a month’s time, on July 14.

“Collabro were worthy winners of Britain’s Got Talent,” said Simon Cowell in a press release. “I am delighted to welcome them to Syco, and am looking forward to them starting work on their debut album.”

Jamie from Collabro added: “Signing to Syco is the most incredible feeling. We are so lucky and proud to join a family of amazing, talented artists and colleagues and we are thrilled to be working with Syco in order to take Collabro to the next level.”

“This is an absolute dream for us, and it’s only the beginning.”
