Armie Hammer confirms ‘Call Me By Your Name’ sequel is in the works

The actor starred alongside Timothee Chalamet in the Academy Award-winning film

Armie Hammer has confirmed a Call Me By Your Name sequel is in the works.

The actor starred as Oliver in the Luca Guadagnino-directed Academy Award winning movie and the following the success and critical response to the first movie, the director showed interest in making a sequel.

Now, while speaking to Variety at the Toronto International Film Festival, Hammer confirmed a sequel will definitely happen – cue more peach scenes!

He said: “It will happen because there are already people working on it and trying to make it happen.

“How much do I know and how much could I tell you are two very different things.

“More than anything I trust the artistic direction to Luca and [novelist] Andre Aciman and to those guys who did such a good job handling it the first time around.”

Hammer starred alongside Timothee Chalamet as Elio who fall in love in 1980s Italy and the film was won the BAFTA and Academy Awards for Best Adapted Screenplay.
