Andrew Hayden-Smith has shared the first picture from the set of E4’s forthcoming gay-themed drama series Banana.

The series, from Queer As Folk creator Russell T Davies, promises to show viewers “50 shades of gay and beyond”, and is the “partner drama” to Davies’s forthcoming gay-themed Channel 4 series Cucumber.

The main cast for Banana was announced on Friday (June 6), and includes Attitude contributor Hayden-Smith, who previously worked with Russell T Davies on Doctor Who. Shooting got underway in Manchester over the weekend.
