The singer was originally meant to release her debut album Be a Fighter in April 2013, but the record was scrapped, and the X Factor star began working on new material with a different label, Warner Records.

Speaking about what fans can expect from her album, she said: “It’s totally fresh, a whole new sound, a whole new Amelia, a whole new record.”

“I feel like the first album that I wrote was a mishmash of all different combinations. This album I think is Amelia Lily. It shows my identity, it shows me as a person. It’s just me, in an album. It sums up me as a person.”

The singer’s Xenomania-produced debut single You Bring Me Joy debuted at number two in September 2012, but the singer said that she has worked with all new producers on her latest project.

“I’ve got a whole new team now. It’s been amazing because it’s been totally fresh for me and also it’s been nice for me to find my confidence as a songwriter as well,” the 19-year-old explained.

Amelia Lily – who will release her new single California on August 24 – said that the response to the new song has been “crazy”.
