The icon that just keeps giving, Alison Hammond was called a b**** by Dermot O’Leary on ITV’s This Morning and has gone on to parody the moment online.

Presenting the daytime show together while Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield take their annual summer break, Hammond and O’Leary were reminiscing on their Big Brother days on Monday’s show (18 July)

The pair were viewing clips of Hammond, 47, appearing on Big Brother’s third season in 2002 followed by a segment of O’Leary’s, 49, spin-off show, Big Brother’s Little Brother.

It was all going so well until O’Leary took issue with Hammond’s teasing about his presenting skills.

Hammond poked fun, saying; “Look at you with a bald head, you should so go back to that bald head. Why don’t you shave your head? Look how fit you look.”

The pair bantered back and forth as Alison said: “You were so good on that show,” and Dermot replied: “Just at that show?”

Hammond offered a comedic “yeah” as she laughed but O’Leary followed up with “such a b***h” as he took a sip of water, seemingly forgetting he was live on daytime TV.

Hammond looked shocked and apologised to viewers at home for her co-presenter’s slip up.

A TikTok of the exchange (above) has half a million views and the comments section includes stunned viewers and those who found the moment a funny quip.

“The funniest bit was Alison trying not to laugh afterwards,” one comment reads.

Another states: “they should be on more often IMO”.

Hammond and O’Leary quickly moved on to the show’s next segment but earlier today (19 July) Hammond posted on Instagram to make a meme of the moment.

“When you get called a ‘b****’ live on air” Hammond’s on-screen caption reads, tagging O’Leary, as she mimes to The Devil Wears Prada’s Meryl Streep scene in which the revered actor monologues: “When we get back to New York we need to contact… Lesley, see what we can do to manage the press on all this.”

Squashing any beef between the pair, O’Leary commented on Hammond’s post: “The best! X”.

The Attitude July/August issue is out now.
