Adam Lambert’s rise from dark horse on ‘American Idol’ to Queen frontman to be subject of documentary
The singer confirmed the news on Twitter after joining the band for a powerful performance the Oscars

Adam Lambert’s journey from his youth in Indianapolis to becoming the new frontman for Queen will be brought to life in a new documentary.
Produced by Jim Beach and Simon Lupton, the new documentary will showcase the former Attitude cover star’s rise from being a dark horse on American Idol to being catapulted as the frontman of one of the world’s most successful bands ever.
Named after Queen’s iconic anthem – from the band’s 1991 album Innuendo – the documentary, The Show Must Go On – The Queen + Adam Lambert Story, will feature behind the scenes footage, clips from their concerts and interviews with Lambert, Brian May and Roger Taylor.
Rami Malek – who recently won an Oscar for his role as Freddie Mercury in the award-winning biopic Bohemian Rhapsody – will also feature in the documentary alongside other celebrities.
On Monday (February 25), Lambert tweeted about the documentary and the upcoming release date.
He wrote: ““So excited about our documentary ‘The Show Must Go On – The Queen + Adam Lambert Story’ airing on @ABCNetwork on April 29th!!”
