Adam Lambert announced as X Factor Australia judge

We’ve got some great news for Adam Lambert fans.

Lambert took to Twitter last night (June 21) and announced that he’s set to be the final judge for the next season of The X Factor Australia.

“Big news! I am going to be a judge on the X Factor Australia!” the 34-year-old announced.

The Ghost Town singer is currently on tour with Queen for the summer, but will be joining Iggy Azealia and Guy Sebastian on the judging panel this autumn.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Lambert said: “I am very excited to join X Factor in Australia and am looking forward to helping people shine their brightest. Australia has always been one of my favourite places to tour. The Aussies I’ve met are so kind and good humoured – so the thought of getting to live in Sydney is exciting.”

Channel Seven’s Director of Production, Brad Lyons said oft he news:  “Adam is truly a world class artist, performing on some of the biggest stages in the world. He knows first-hand how hard that first break can be. His experience and passion will be invaluable for our contestants.”

As well as his judging role on the X Factor Australia, Adam will be starring as Eddie in Fox’s Rocky Horror Picture Show remake this year.

Meanwhile, Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger are set to be the four judges for X Factor UK in August.
