Drag Race UK fans fall in love with surprising star
"Lol, I'm not pitting [sic] his insta up"
After the latest episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, fans of the show have fallen in love with an unlikely star.
This week’s episode saw the remaining queens take part in a group acting challenge based around reality TV.
Cheddar Gorgeous was named the winner for the third consecutive week after the ‘Ruff and Ready’ runway category. With Jonbers Blonde and Black Peppa landing in the bottom they took part in the lip sync which concluded with a twist double ‘shantay you stay’.
All five queens – Black Peppa, Jonbers Blonde, Cheddar Gorgeous, Pixie Polite, and Danny Beard go through to the semi-finals as a result.
However, fans took a liking to an unexpected star from the episode – Jonbers Blonde’s brother.
After the runway challenge, the queen’s sat down for their regular chats in Untucked. After a while a crew member brought over a TV that played video messages from the loved ones of each of the remaining queens.
When it came time for Jonbers’ video, her parents and brother appeared on the screen and wished her well.
“So proud of everything you do, especially for getting so far in this competition,” Jonbers’ mum said.
Her dad added: “Your dreams are coming true. I am very proud of you and all you’ve achieved and love you and miss you very much.”
“Come home soon, but not too soon!” her brother cheekily chimed in with a big grin. Pixie Polite remarked after it finished: “jonbers your brother’s fit”
Afterward, Jonbers’ Drag Race UK series four sister, Just May, tweeted: “I love that @jonbers brother has more fans then me on @dragraceukbbc“
Someone replied: “But does @jonbers brother have Twitter?”
Someone else added: “Jonbers blonde brother please date me”
Tweeting a shot of Jonbers’ brother from the video someone else wrote: “Right. Who has the ig handle of Jonbers’ brother, surrender it right now.”
Another wrote: “jonbers’ brother, cheddar’s bf, and danny’s bf are all so cute”
Responding to Drag Race UK series one’s A’Whora’s lust for “the fittest brother” on Instagram Jonbers replied in her Instagram story: “Lol, I’m not pitting [sic] his insta up”
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK continues on Thursdays on BBC Three and Player from 9 pm.
