Russell Tovey gay drama ‘Looking’ to receive UK premiere in January

Eagerly-anticipated HBO series Looking is to premiere in the UK on January 27.

The drama follows the lives of three gay men looking for love in San Francisco.

Glee‘s Jonathan Groff appears as Patrick, a successful video game developer, who decides it’s time start dating again after hearing about his ex’s engagement.

Our very own Russell Tovey plays Groff’s co-worker Kevin, and Frankie J. Alvarez and Murray Bartlett also star as aspiring artist Agustín and 39-year-old waiter Dom.

Agustín is questioning the idea of monogamy as he begins to domesticate with his boyfriend, while Dom is questioning where his life is going as he faces middle age with his professional and romantic dreams still unfulfilled.

The series was shot on location in San Francisco and was created by Michael Lannan, who worked on Interior. Leather Bar. Andrew Haigh, who wrote and directed Weekend, is one of the executive producers.

Looking premieres on Sky Atlantic on January 27, 2014 at 10.35pm.
