Sarah Poulson gave a shout out to girlfriend Holland Taylor at last night’s Emmy’s, where she won ‘Outstanding Lead Actress In A Limited Series Or A Television Movie’ for her portrayal of prosecutor Marcia Clark in The People V O.J. Simpson.

Earlier this year, the American Horror Story actress spoke of her anxiety about coming out, having previously feared for the effect it could have on her career.

But despite previous refusals to be a “visible” LGBT actor, the star, while speaking to E! on a pre-show interview, said “Hi Holland, Holland Taylor, if you’re watching, I love you.”

Paulson also used her stage time to publicly apologise to Marcia Clark for ‘superficially judging her’ during the real O.J. Simpson trial. She spoke out about how the media storm allowed for false interpretations, to which she carelessly fell for.

“The more I learned about the real Marcia Clark, not the 2D cardboard cut-out I saw on the news, but the complicated, whip-smart, giant-hearted mother-of-two who woke up every day, put both feet in the floor, and dedicated herself to righting an unconscionable wrong,” Paulson told the audience.

It was also reported that when Paulson got her awards engraved with both hers and Clark’s names.
