An Italian beach popular with gay male nudists has been named the second-best spot in the world for skinnydipping.

Prepare for the straight invasion, boys!

The beautiful Spiaggia Della Lecciona [below], located in Tuscany, Italy, was beaten only by Lokrum Island, Dubrovnik, Croatia. Third place went to Maslin Beach, Adelaide, Australia.

Meeting the clean waters of the Ligurian Sea, Lecciona has been a popular gay beach since the 70s and is believed to be the region’s last free beach, with no deckchairs or umbrellas.

According to the research, the beach has an average air temperature of 29°C, an average water temperature of 25°C. The average cost of a hotel per night in the area is £133.82 ($185).

In the USA, the Washougal River in Washington State is the top location, with picnic rocks and flowing streams. In Brazil, the Praia de Galhet is the best location, with white sand beaches and a naturally preserved area.

In order to determine the ranking, MyDatingAdviser.com compared 100 of the most popular skinny dipping locations across four key dimensions: beach quality, weather, safety and hotel cost.

In all locations listed, public nudity is legal.
