Attitude is delighted to announce that Andy Cohen, star of the smash hit Bravo chat show Watch What Happens Live and Executive Producer of the Real Housewives franchise, is to host the 2018 Virgin Holidays Attitude Awards, powered by Jaguar.

Returning to London’s iconic Camden Roundhouse and now in its seventh year, the biggest-ever Attitude Awards will be the UK LGBT+ community’s 2018 calendar highlight – and steering 600 black tie guests through dinner, 13 awards and three live performances will be the first openly-gay host of a US late-night chat show.

The identities of the award winners will, as ever, be a closely-guarded secret until the evening and the publication of a bumper Awards issue of Attitude the following morning, but host Andy Cohen can expect to preside over a cast as glittering as 2017’s ensemble of His Royal Highness Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, Kylie Minogue, Sam Smith and Laverne Cox.

Andy Cohen said: “I am so looking forward to hosting the 2018 Virgin Holidays Attitude Awards, powered by Jaguar, and to introducing and celebrating some fantastic role models.

“And I have a special place in my heart for London – I came out there when studying back in 1988, to the soundtrack of Erasure and Bronski Beat, and I felt free.

“I love the energy, the people and the British accent and so, who knows, I might go home having fallen in love with a city banker. Or an architect.”

Darren Styles OBE, Publisher and Managing Director of Attitude magazine, said: “We are beyond excited and delighted that Andy would give his time for the Attitude Magazine Foundation for LGBT+ causes and agree to host the Virgin Holidays Attitude Awards, powered by Jaguar.

“It will be a thrill to see the man who was slapped by both Cher and Oprah and given a make-up tutorial by Lady Gaga elicit the best from our star-studded roll call of winners and presenters on our biggest night of the year.

“Coincident with National Coming Out Day, the Attitude Awards will – as ever – send a crystal clear message to readers young and old that regardless of your background, ethnicity or your place on the rainbow spectrum there are no barriers to what you can achieve while being whoever it is you want to be.”
