Style Icon: Jessica Fletcher (Murder She Wrote)

By Joseph Kocharian

25B-Dont-mess-with-Jess[1]WHO
The first lady of crime solving, Murder She Wrote fame, Jessica B Fletcher careered around Cabot Cove solving mysteries and murders whilst writing many a best-seller (we have a sneaking suspicion it was her offing everyone, but we could never prove it, sneaky bitch)

THE LOOK
Jessica is connoisseur of the knitwear and shirt combo. She also knows how to pull off a long mac and a twinset. Wool trousers are a practical touch when running to and from a crime scene  and typewriter laptop or briefcases are on hand for when you start penning one of your many novels.

WHY NOW
Knitwear is here in a big way. Brands such as Sibling and Paul Smith are bringing interesting knits to the catwalk (even in candyfloss pink for the boys). Burberry Prorsum still leads the
way with the trusty trench coat, and the high street is following suit by smartening up their outerwear. We’re feeling very grown up indeed.

GET THE LOOK
ASOS have got your leather briefcases all sorted, with this vintage inspired bag, and MR PORTER is the place to go if you want a bit of playful luxury with your knitwear and let’s not forget your trusty magnifying glass from John Lewis.
