A 62-year-old man has appeared in court after allegedly attempting to pour hydrochloric acid into lube dispensers at an Australian sex club last month, according to the Daily Mail

Hengky Irawan, 62, is charged with administering poison with intent to cause pain and entering a licensed premises to commit an indictable offence, as well as intentionally or recklessly damaging the dispenser.

The incident took place at Aarows sex club, Sydney, in August. According to reports, the dispensers at the club were alarmed, leading to Irawan being caught by security guards when he attempted to sabotage them.

The accused’s lawyers have asked the court for a six-week adjournment to allow for a psychiatric assessment.

Police allege that he attempted to pour the acid into the dispenser around an hour and a half after entering the club. He then attempted to evade recognition by fleeing through the city’s streets and into stores.
