In pics | Go behind-the-scenes of Sibling London’s LC:M show
Sibling took us on an American vacation with their beach and poolside collection for Spring Summer 17. Tapping into both the East (Miami) and West (California) coast, a lush colour palette of red, white and blue gave the catwalk and all american flavour.
The crisp colour palette was accessorised with beach towels, tiny trunks and sunglasses giving the models (with burgeoning muscles), with always pitch perfect styling from Matthew Josephs, giving the models a sun kissed hustler swagger about them.
The first thing that happened the set EVERYONE off was model Matt Rodwell, strutting down the catwalk and whipping his towel off with a knowing smile to reveal budgy smugglers. Everyone suitably flustered, the rest of the front row were treated to pyjama suits, seaside stripes, quasi surfer/skater shorts and even corsets to show off the beach physique.
The crisp white hand knitted pieces proved their worth against the bronzed muscles, and bouclé sequinned pieces and knitted crop tops set the heat to high octane. By the time the show had finished, Sibling had whipped the usually reserved fashion crowd into a frenzy…They know how to put on a show. (bonus points for appearing at the end with the anti Brexit ‘IN’ t-shirts)
As if this weren’t enough, before the show, we hopped backstage to see what was going on pre-show. The Sibling team is more of a family (complete with Sibling Squad tees) and it was evident from all the smiles and laughter going on backstage, which is what we like to see. Sid and Cozette have cultivated their Sibling Squad and the warmth showed, even before they heated up the catwalk.
