Fierce rapper Brooke Candy signs major label record deal

Ridiculously fierce rapper/Singer Brooke Candy has signed a major label record deal with Columbia.

The LA native has created a huge online buzz since hitting the music scene in 2012 when she featured in the video for Grimes’ single Genesis. She then followed up this memorable cameo appearance with her own blog hit Das Me. 

Candy, 24, is also part of fashion label Diesel’s 2014 spring accessories campaign.

Speaking about the signing, Candy said in a press release: “I’m so thrilled to sign with Columbia Records in the UK and to join their insane roster of talent; a group of incredibly talented artists that I have admired for such a long time. Creatives get Creatives, so this is the perfect partnership to share my music with the world.”

Candy is currently working on her debut album in L.A – with Titanium singer Sia on board as executive producer.

Her first release with Columbia, the Opulence EP, will be released on May 5.
