Beyoncé announces new single ‘Pretty Hurts’

Beyoncé has announced the next single to be lifted from her latest album.
The ‘surfboard’ slogan-maker, who released her surprise self-titled album late last year, has picked the Sia-penned power ballad Pretty Hurts as single number three.
It follows on from Drunk In Love, featuring husband Jay-Z, and the sultry Partition.
Like every song on the album, the track is accompanied by a video – which sees Queen Bey participating in a beauty pageant while singing about self-doubt and image issues.
The video, which premiered on Time‘s website, was revealed to celebrate Beyoncé gracing the cover of the magazine’s “100 Most Influential People of the Year” issue.
Meanwhile, the song’s writer Sia has recently revealed that Pretty Hurts was offered to Katy Perry and Rihanna before being given to Beyoncé.
