Who in fashion is championing craft like Jonathan Anderson? From Wedgwood cups to crafting a solid bronze paperweight in collaboration with Luca Guadagnino, the designer’s eponymous label is pushing artisanal heritage to the forefront.

At Salone del Mobile 2026, this commitment reached a new peak with a collaboration featuring Yeoman Basket Maker and sculptor Eddie Glew.

The partnership, unveiled during Milan’s premier design week, centres on a series of bespoke pieces crafted for the JW Anderson Autumn/Winter 2026 collection.

Along with the top handle Basket Bag are The Blanket Basket, Log Basket and Laundry Basket that serve as homeware pieces rooted in centuries old techniques.

The collection takes heavy inspiration from medieval storage chests, reimagining traditional forms as avant-garde accessories. Each piece crafted in England from British willow.

Glew, a master craftsman based in Staffordshire, England, learned the trade from his father bringing a lifetime of expertise in traditional British willow weaving to the high-fashion stage.

To elevate the rustic willow, Anderson introduced vegetable-tanned leather straps and handles. The contrast between the organic, structural weave and the smooth, rich leather creates a striking visual tension.

By bringing Eddie Glew’s sculptural weaving to Salone del Mobile, Anderson continues to bridge the gap between traditional British craft and contemporary luxury.
