COS LAUNCH “REPURPOSED COTTON PROJECT”

The new collection is made up of recyled cotton

By Nick Byam

To celebrate the summer weather finally arriving, Cos have launched their newest project “The Repurposed Cotton Project”.

The idea came about when the fashion house decided to recycle their own cuts of excess fabric into new designs.

When working closely with a long-standing supplier in Turkey they discovered they had more than one and a half tonnes of unused 100 per cent cotton throughout the course of the year.

The cotton was then shredded, compacted, spun, weaved, dyed and finally constructed into a new style ready for you to buy.

The collection consists of men’s, women’s and children swear sweatshirts in a tonal colour palette of yellows and is available now in Cos stores and at cosstores.com
