A day of stop and start showers is expected during Pride in London today (June 28).

The morning will be relatively dry, with showers holding off until around 11am or 12pm, a Met Office spokesperson has told attitude.co.uk.

Temperatures will reach highs of 18-19C during the afternoon, but there is a 55% chance that heavier rain will move in at approximately 3pm – just an hour before Sinitta’s expected musical comeback on the Trafalgar Square Stage.

“As we move through the afternoon towards 5pm the chances of heavy rain are only going to get higher,” the Met Office warned.

“If you do catch a break in the clouds though, there will be sunshine,” they added.

After a day of showers, a “damp evening” is also expected, but attitude.co.uk has been advised that the impact of any winds and gusts will be “negligible.”

Pride in London takes place this Saturday (June 28) with Eurovision champion Conchita Wurst headlining on the main stage in Trafalgar Square in central London. The annual Pride parade will depart from Baker Street at 1pm on June 28 – the 45th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.
