Beyoncé appears to be gearing up for her next release, with sources saying new music could arrive within days.
The project is understood to be rock-influenced and would complete a trilogy recorded during the pandemic. The second instalment, Cowboy Carter, was released in 2024 and drew on country music. Dance, house, and disco album Renaissance dropped in 2022.
A source told The Sun: “Beyoncé is just days away from giving her fans new music.
“Fans do not have long to wait. Beyoncé will reveal what she has been working on” – an insider on Beyoncé’s new music
“Beyoncé is all about theatre in her artistry and this is one of her most progressive and exciting albums.

Reports of the rock direction first emerged last year. One working title linked to the record is Betty Black, referencing the 1977 track ‘Black Betty’ by Ram Jam. The song has faced criticism due to its association with a whip used on enslaved people.
Ahead of the expected announcement, Beyoncé channelled Prince in a purple statement dress with exaggerated sleeves
Sources close to the project have also cited Betty Davis as a key influence. Davis, who died in 2022 aged 77, was known for combining funk and rock.
Ahead of the expected announcement, Beyoncé shared a set of images wearing a purple statement dress with exaggerated sleeves, styled with a pearl handbag. The look prompted comparisons to Prince, with fans linking the look to his 1991 album Diamonds and Pearls.
Prince died in 2016 aged 57. No official release date for Beyoncé’s new music has been confirmed.
