A wet and windy weekend is expected ahead of the Pride events in Leeds and Liverpool  this weekend (Aug 2-3).

Speaking to attitude.co.uk earlier today (July 31), a Met Office spokesperson confirmed that a ‘Yellow warning’ has been issued throughout the region, with the two cities braced for the worst of the weekend’s weather.

Liverpool Pride takes place this Saturday (Aug 2) and will see showers throughout the morning and into the afternoon – some of which are likely to be “heavy”.

The bad weather in the North is likely to continue through to Sunday for Leeds Pride, with the added threats of “stong breezes” resulting in wet and windy conditions throughout the day.

“It’ll be waterproofs all round,” aMet Office spokesperson warns.

Liverpool Pride will see performances from Katy B, Heather Small and more, and with a theme of ‘Glam Fairy Tales’, revellers are being encourages to dress in their wildest and wackiest outfits. For more information visit the Liverpool Pride website.

Leeds Pride takes place a day later on Sunday (Aug 3), with fun-loving girlband Stooshe set to perform alongside the likes of former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt. The event kicks off at midday, and you can find out more at the Leeds Pride website.
