A warm, dry day with the possibility of heavy showers in the evening is expected at Bristol Pride tomorrow (July 12).

Speaking to attitude.co.uk earlier today (July 11), Met Office spokesperson Nicky Maxey confirmed that the weather situation is “looking quite good” ahead of the event, which will feature headline performances from A1, Corona and dance duo Freemasons.

Bristol is likely to experience a warm, dry afternoon, with patchy cloud and temperatures of up to 22C. “Remember your sun cream” said Ms Maxey, before warning that the evening’s weather “may be suspect”.

“Showers will moving into the south-west in the the morning but won’t reach Bristol until the evening,” she explained. “The showers might not move in at about 6 or 7pm, but they have the potential to be heavy. Any rain should have cleared by about 9pm, however.”

Though the afternoon may be dry and sunny, Ms Maxey would like revellers to consider the likelihood of evening rain when packing a bag for the day, suggesting kagouls and umbrellas might come in useful.

In addition to headliners a1, Corona and Freemasons, performances on the day will come from Britain’s Got Talent contestants The Showbears, Five Star’s Denise Pearson and Drag Queens of London favourite Baga Chipz.

Bristol Pride parade departs Queens Square at 11am tomorrow (July 12), and the main Pride Day at Castle Park will feature three stages of entertainment as well as a host of stall and family activities. Visit the Pride Bristol website for more information.
