Car manufacturer Volvo celebrated Pride with a lovely gesture to same-sex families.

The Swedish car maker created a series of parking spot signage representing same-sex families in Westfield Shopping Centre in London to celebrate Pride.

The concept of the campaign is to promote their new V60 model – launching today (July 9) – alongside the advertising campaign ‘The New Family Model’.

Not only are same-sex families represented, but Volvo – who have said they recognise the definition of family has evolved – have celebrated all families including single parents and nuclear families.

Mike Johnstone, marketing strategy director at Volvo Car UK, said: “The introduction of the new V60 gives us the ideal opportunity to celebrate the modern family in all its guises.

“As the contemporary iteration of our mid-size family estate, the V60 perfectly reflects our human-centric approach to car design which aims to make its owners’ lives easier and safer.”
