US politician warns parents: ‘Gay Scout leaders will molest your children’

As part of a predictably vile backlash against the news that the Boys Scouts of America will finally allow local troops to employ openly LGBT leaders, a Colorado state legislator has urged parents to remove their children from the organisation before they get sexually abused.
In a video published by Right Wing Watch, Republican Colorado House of Representatives member Gordon James Klingenschmitt said that the Boy Scouts’ decision to life the ban on LGBT employees on Monday (July 27) would lead to its adolescent members getting molested in the woods.
“If your boy is in one of those organisations, you need to get them out of there,” Klingenschmitt says during the wide-eyed rant, “because what they’re going to do is promote homosexual men to mentoring and camping with your boys in the woods and it will lead to child abuse.”
As well as warning that every Boy Scout in American is now in danger, Klingenschmitt adds that the decision had been made for the “sexual pleasure of adults”, before leading viewers in a group prayer to “save” the organisation from the clutches of sodomy.
Almost as concerning as the former navy chaplain’s borderline lunacy is the fact he was elected to his seat in the Colorado state legislature last year with 70% of the vote.
