Top London hairdresser to cut HIV stigma with charity event

Top London hairdresser Denis Robinson is hosting a unique event for HIV charity Terrence Higgins Trust on Sunday March29. Over 20 professional hairdressers from across the city will come together for #CutTheStigma, offering haircuts at The Goldwell Academy in Shaftsbury Avenue in return for a charitable donation.
Robinson, who has attended to the hair of celebs including Dolly Parton, Paloma Picasso and Saffron Burrows, has launched #CutTheStigma as a one-off fundraising event to help the Trust with the work that they do to educate people about HIV and assist the newly diagnosed.
“As a hairdresser who happens to be HIV positive, I have long wanted to harness the creativity and generosity within my industry to make a difference,” said Robinson, pictured above.
“I’m fundraising for the Terrence Higgins Trust, who work within the HIV community and among vulnerable people trying to reduce infection rates particularly among the young. So now I need your help, I have a venue, I have a date, and I have a team. Now we need heads of hair to cut.”
