Tom Daley’s plane makes emergency landing in Russia
By Sam Rigby
Tom Daley’s flight back to the UK for the Commonwealth Games has been forced to make an emergency landing in Russia.
The Attitude cover star was travelling from Shanghai to London with boyfriend Dustin Lance Black earlier today (July 21) when the plane was forced to land in the Russian city of Irkutsk.
Tom posted a picture of the plane dumping fuel over Mongolia as it made its descent, and later added that the experience had been scary, especially considering recent events in the region.
Scary to emergency land in RUS after recent events, yet no word on what problem is after hour surrounded by fire engines #VirginAtlantic

Meanwhile, Dustin did not seem to be impressed by Virgin Atlantic’s lack of communication over the incident. The couple last posted to say that they are still on board the plane, which is now surrounded by fire engines.
@VirginAtlantic What kind of issue makes you dump fuel over Mongolia and land in Russia? A plane full of people would love to know!
