Dillon Passage, the estranged husband of Tiger King‘s Joe Exotic, has introduced his new boyfriend John to fans on Instagram.

Dillon shot to fame on Netflix’s Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness, which followed the life of an animal park owner (and now-convicted felon) named Joe Exotic.

Since going to prison, Dillon campaigned for Exotic to receive a presidential pardon from Donald Trump. However, in April of this year, he suddenly announced plans to divorce Exotic.

“Thank you for being you”

Opening up about his new relationship over the weekend, Dillon said: “Everyone, meet John. I’ve planned on keeping my relationship private for personal reasons but lately I’ve been having a hard time dealing with things happening in my life and John has been my rock and helping me get through it all.”

The TV star furthermore told his 122k followers: “In short, this is an appreciation post for this special, special man. Thank you for being you.”

Passage and Exotic tied the knot in 2017. They had only been married for nine months when Exotic was arrested.

In his divorce announcement earlier this year, Dillon said: “‘To answer the main question the public wants to know, yes, Joe and I are seeking a divorce. This wasn’t an easy decision to make but Joe and I both understand that this situation isn’t fair to either of us.

“It’s something that neither of us were expecting but we are going to take it day by day.

“We are on good terms still and I hope it can stay that way. I will continue to have Joe in my life and do my best to support him while he undergoes further legal battles to better his situation.”
