Strictly’s Craig Revel Horwood receives torrent of homophobia abuse over desire to adopt

Craig Revel Horwood has said he was recently the target of homophobic Twitter trolls.
The Strictly Come Dancing judge says that he received a torrent of homophobic abuse on social media after he revealed his desire to adopt a child with his longterm partner.
“Some people have been really horrid and abusive and disgusting. There are kids out there who need education and they need foster homes to go to and they need people who are prepared to love them” he told The Mirror.
He continued: “A gay couple can offer that as much as a straight couple as they can’t have children naturally. I don’t know what the big fuss is about. It is not acceptable when people say, ‘I don’t agree with your sexuality.’
“It is as good as being racist. And that is unacceptable. People have to learn to change and accept human nature,” he added.
