By Nick Levine

Barbra Streisand has drafted in Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and Bette Midler for a new duets album.
Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, Josh Groban and John Mayer are also recording duets with Babs for the forthcoming album, which is being produced by Walter Afanasieff and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds.
Afanasieff broke the news on his official website alongside the picture of him, Babyface and Babs that appears to the right. He wrote: “Co producing with Kenny “babyface” Edmonds the new Barbra Streisand duets album. Which will feature singers and musicians like Lionel Richie, Babyface, Blake Shelton, Stevie Wonder, Josh Groban, Michael Bublè, Lady Gaga, Bette Midler, Andrea Bocelli, Beyoncè, Billy Joel, John Mayer and many others…”
During her 50-year recording career Babs has recorded classic duets with Barry Gibb (Guilty), Donna Summer (No More Tears (Enough Is Enough), Celine Dion (Tell Him), Neil Diamond (You Don’t Bring Me Flowers) and Bryan Adams (I Finally Found Someone), among others.
She released a compilation album called Duets in 2002. Her most recent studio album, What Matters Most, came out in 2011 and debuted at Number 7 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart.
